I wanted to find a compact Linux distro that can be installed and ran from a USB drive. I researched available distros and found Puppy Linux. It's based on Ubuntu, has decent documentation, and is mature.
Installation was a cinch. It easily installed onto a PNY 4Gb USB drive. I haven't been able to get wireless networking to work yet. But I'm working on it.
